"Every year NJWMA awards the Mover of the Year to the company that best demonstrates the criteria set by the Board of Directors. We look at companies large and small that exemplify quality. This may be in the form of internal training, mission statement, local community services and consumer referrals. We also consider the overall appearance of offices and vehicles, and company standards as well as involvement with Association meetings and programs. Reliable Van & Storage more than meets those qualifications; family owned and operated business for over 85 years. Since the founding of Reliable Van, four generations of the Toscano Family have maintained the respect and confidence of the moving and storage industry worldwide. In 1928, they became one of the original charter agents of the Allied Family. Each year they move over 4,500 families - both domestically and internationally. They are also proud recipients of the Pan American International Movers Association Ecology Award. They purchased two industrial recycling machines; one is a compactor and the other a baler. Upon completion of every move all debris is brought back to their warehouse where it is separated into recyclabe categories, new cartons used on a move that remain in good condition are recycled to customers encouraging the multiple use of these items. Instead of disposable, non-biodegradable tape, they utilize industrial strenth reusable rubber bands to wrap blankets around furniture. Nearly a paperless office and they recycle all office papers. All paper supplies are from recycled sources. All of their lighting has been retrofitted with high efficiency lamps reducing their electric consumption by 50%.
Reliable Van & Storage has been a member of NJWMA since its inception...one of our original members."
